(4) MAIN PERSONALITIES
People, in general, can be grouped into four basic types of personality. These are:

1. The Orange Socializer:
The Orange Socializer is outgoing and sometimes even called a “Super Extrovert”. They tend to be great storytellers and flamboyant in their style. This temperament is usually thought of as a “natural salesman” but they also tend to enter professions that are outgoing such as acting, sales or even preaching. This temperament leads into a room talking and is never at a loss for words. His outgoing nature makes him the envy of more timid temperaments types. He is most comfortable when he is around people and doesn’t like being alone. He is often known as a “toucher”, often seen touching the arm or shoulder of the person he is talking to. Sometimes this makes the more timid temperament types nervous or uncomfortable. His energy can make him seem more confident than he actually is. The Orange Socializer is mostly a happy person whom others are glad to have around. The weaknesses of the Orange Socializer include disorganization and a lack of discipline, as in overeating. His tremendous personal talents can be made or broken by his lack of self-discipline. The Orange Socializer is the most emotional of all the temperaments. In a nutshell, Orange Socializers are cheerful, enthusiastic people whose energy comes from being with people. They bring life and smiles to those in their circles but may be scatterbrained, and often lack caution or restraint.

2. The Green Director:

The Green Director is the most forceful of all the temperaments. He is strong willed, opinionated and independent. He thrives on activity and makes sound quick decisions. He is not afraid of challenges and tends to drive right through or over problems. He is probably the strongest natural leader of the four. He struggles with handling anger and does not display compassion easily. Details tend to irritate the Green Director and he will delegate them out when ever he can seize the opportunity. His strong will drives him to succeed where most people would give up. Because of their impatience, they often end up doing everything themselves. That’s because they know how it ought to be done and aren’t afraid to take charge. His biggest weakness as a leader is running right over people if he feels they are in the way. He finds criticism and faultfinding more useful than encouragement and approval because he feels people will start slacking off. His biggest weaknesses would be anger, hostility and an active temper. He is a door slammer and a horn blower. Sometimes he can have a sarcastic tone and on occasion will tell someone off. It is difficult for the Green Director to show affection and his emotions are the least developed of all the temperaments. They are very demanding of others and of themselves. They are often workaholics and tend to tackle opposition, which may make them seem tactless and insensitive to others. In a nutshell, Green Directors are take-charge, task-oriented leader types for whom relationships are largely a means to an end. Their strengths are boldness, leadership abilities and self-motivation, but they may appear tactless or quick tempered.

3. The Gold Analyzer:

The Gold Analyzer is an introvert that has strong perfectionist tendencies. They are highly organized and attempt to do everything perfectly. They are introspective and often the journal keepers among us. Also, they have a place for everything and like everything in its place. They are neat and orderly and seek to make their worlds perfect. He is the most moody of all the types and struggles with depression and pessimistic tendencies. During his low times, he can be antagonistic and does not make friends easily. He is the most dependable of the temperaments due to his perfectionist tendencies. His analytical ability allows him to discover obstacles and problems, which keep him from making changes. Many Gold Analyzers go into self- sacrificing professions, as well as becoming doctors or scientists. They have difficulty giving praise and approval because they can not bring themselves to say something that is not 100% correct. They also are usually dissatisfied with themselves being highly self-critical. Gold Analyzers tend to be touchy and easily offended. No temperament is more likely to be as legalistic and rigid. He can be intolerant and impatient with those who do not see things his way. In a nutshell, Gold Analyzers are fastidious, organized, very intelligent intellectuals who largely keep to themselves. Their strengths are observation, preparation, and resourcefulness, but they tend to lean toward perfectionism and depression.

4. The Blue Peacemaker:

The Blue Peacemaker is best described as “easy going” mellow type of person. He doesn’t get upset easily and tends to be calm and steady. Of the four temperaments, he is the easiest to get along with. Underneath his non-excited exterior, he is the most timid of all four types. They tend to procrastinate because decisions are difficult for them. In part, they over analyze, are easily distracted, and often leave things incomplete. The Blue Peacemaker is more of an observer of activities rather than getting into the middle of them. Blue Peacemakers make excellent teachers, counselors and administrators. They are very dependable and organized. Blue Peacemakers never volunteer. They tend to lack motivation, drive and ambition. They are stingy with things that belong to them even to the point of labeling items with their name. He is often stubborn, though he hides that underneath his mild-mannered style. He is also the most fearful of the temperaments. In a nutshell, the Blue Peacemakers are calm, dependable, laid-back people who are easy to get along with. Their strengths are flexibility and endurance, but they are prone to passivity and procrastination.
